riding the ferry

last friday, andy surprised kate and me with a ride on the ferry, which goes from bay st louis to pass christian. it was fun, but strange. you put your car on the boat, and you can sit in your car the whole time! we wanted to get out, but there were so many cars on there it was hard to walk around. kate had fun, though, but our arms were tired from holding her so much. we walked around "the pass", but it was sad. so many historic homes, all in bad shape or nonexistant. they need lots of help there! anyone want to move to the pass to help out?

1st haircut

kate got her bangs trimmed so that she can see while she is playing....it looks really cute!

bathtime settle down

after i dry her hair with the blowdryer, we brush teeth. it's hard to brush with a pacifier, but she takes it out. she sits in my sink and i stand behind her to get the jobs done. she loves to wear my headbands.

she still likes her pacifier, thanks to all the other kids at school that still use theirs. it is cute, though. she only uses it when one is around-but currently we can't find a single one. i have cleaned under all furniture and can't find any. oh well.

kate's hair is so long. haircut picture to come soon. i love to mess up her hair in the tub.

kate will sit in the laundry basket for hours just playing and lying down. she thinks if she is lying down i can't see her.

kate is wondering why that girl is getting an egg so close to her basket and was watching her basket very closely.

i hope she can find some eggs......they are hidden very carefully.

susan and i visited kate for her easter egg hunt at school, and we strategically took her to the part of the playground that had many obvious finds. kate found 8 and put them in her basket all by herself!
she even found a butterfinger egg, but she would not let go of it.

i didn't know kate could do the rocking horse! i was so impressed at school today. she went fast on him!

kate stepped outside and sat in the little decorative chair, made herself comfy. took her blankie with her. i thought it was cute, because she knew the chair was just for her.
