I just want you all to be aware that we found the best photographer ever here on the coast. I know you all have heard me go on and on about her before, but she is exceptional.

Lisa is so sweet, we are so glad we know her, and Kate also has another role with her.
In the baby store here in town, named Biz-zee Bee, Kate is found in a display in a photo with her daddy, on the wall. It is signed by the artist and looks beautiful.
Also, Kate is now featured on a greeting card for birthdays-it is a photo of kate crying, and the caption reads, "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to-Happy birthday, baby" . Everyone says it is really cute, although it is hard for me to look at a photo of her crying! She's wearing a feather boa, and really crying.
I can see the sentiment, but the mommy in me wants to comfort her. Oh well, the overall idea is funny and i'm glad she is a star.

kate taylor is 18 months!
i can't believe how much she has grown in the past week. just within the week she can say "car," "hey, " "meh meh (for medicine)," "sand," and some other fun things.
i took her for her 18 mo. check up today and she was so awesome. she spent the first part of the day rearranging the waiting room chairs. she was very strong! she was in a great mood.
she was still in the 90th percentile for weight and height, which means she is a strong, tall girl and that is great.
she really impressed the doctors with her actions on command-if you say "shuffle step," she'll do her dance. if you say "cheesecake," she will smile really big. if you say "fish lips, give me a kiss," she'll pucker up and give you a huge kiss and hug. it is so precious.
she even got a shot today, and thanks to the sucker they gave her, she did not even wince or cry. i, of course, had my eyes closed, but kate was a champion. i was so amazed.
we both took good naps today then played hard and went to the beach. came home to wash the sand away, cuddled, and she went in her little bed. i love bedtime. i covet it when someone else does it, and i can't really think of anyone doing it besides me. it is so sweet and wonderful and i can't wait for it. we change, put on pj's, read "book-ahs" and get our sipper cup, our nu nu (pacifier) and tuck in. night night, then kate says "nigh nigh" .
i can't belive how big and smart and old she is. the doc said not to come back until age 2-i can't belive she will be 2!
she is such a blessing and i'm so thankful for her in my life.

One of Kate's old sitters from Louisville was in town, helping take care of her for a day while mommy didn't feel good!

kate has been so sweet and busy this week. she's been to day care each day so far, since i've been sick since last weekend. I think i have a sinus infection/allergies. i have a doc appt tomorrow so maybe that will help.
however, kate has been doing very well. she has been so sweet, greeting us with kisses, and not adjusting to the time change. last night she stayed up until 9 pm! that is the latest ever. our friends from louisville, ms were in town volunteering, and they came over to catch up, so we let her stay up.
tonight she was pretty cuddly and went to bed without a whine. 8 pm. she had a bath, cried the whole way through, then had diaper time/pj's and some books. "booh kahs" she says. we read our "night night" book, which was a book about going to bed that i read as a child, and she loves it. then she gets her sippy cup and gets in her bed.
her teacher said she bit herself on the finger today, because she is teething. at least that's better than last week when she bit Ellen.
but she's doing great, learning, playing, still a mama's girl.

busy
she must be taking after cousin ivy. kate studiously put 4 goldfish crackers on the top of this bottle of pepto bismol. that is all there was room for. dont worry the pepto was unopened.
