kate is learning things so quickly. in the past few days, she has learned words that i have been trying to teach her for 6 or more months-"light," "hot," "ice." these are first words for many babies, but kate said so many other first words that these were her secondary words. andy brought home a pair of hot pink crocs for her last friday, and she was beyond thrilled. she started yelling "shoe! shoe!" immediately. she loves her crocs and she is so glad her daddy brought her some.
unfortunately, another overused word for her is "no." tonight i said, "kate, do you want a bath?" "NO". "Kate, do you want to eat supper?" "NO". she is replying no because she is so proud that she can carry on a conversation with me. unfortunately, no is not a good answer. it's even worthy of a spanking at times. which she does not like.
anyway, kate is a blessing, she loves to play hide and seek, she still loves bedtime and naptime (not at daycare but at home), and loves to cuddle. she will still give big kisses and i am sorry for all of you that have never had a kate kiss-it's like none other. it is very voluptuous and juicy, snotty at times but still very loving.
what a little bear!
